On 2 November, Sogeviso appointed Javier García del Río as the company’s new General Manager. He takes on this responsibility following the recent death of Toni Sorolla, who had previously held the post.
García del Río, who was on the board of directors of Sogeviso between 2015 and 2019, will continue the work carried out by the company, thus reinforcing its role as a market leader in the management of affordable rental housing and promoting new developments through public-private partnerships.
Javier García del Río is an industrial engineer from ETSI in Seville and has extensive experience in real estate management and the development of unproductive assets. In his position as General Manager of Solvia (2014-2019), he was actively involved in the founding of Sogeviso. Between 2020 and 2022, he was CEO and Executive Chairman of Sareb, actively contributing to the launch of the company’s social and affordable rental programme, as well as in the strengthening of its retail business.
